It started with a t-shirt.
Our roots are deep here in Madison, and we celebrate it every day with the Mad City t-shirt. We’ve been printing this iconic shirt since 1974. Maybe you’ve seen it around State Street, or at various Wisconsin sporting events. Maybe you’ve even seen it worn by proud Madison natives all over the country.
Lee Dreyfus, then running for Governor of Wisconsin, described Madison as “30 square miles surrounded by reality”. Of course, in the subsequent years Madison has only grown larger, but the truth of the statement hasn’t changed. There’s been some crazy things happen in the Mad City, from Elvis (yes, that Elvis) breaking up a fight at a gas station, to the famous image of pink flamingos on the lawn of the University of Wisconsin’s Bascom Hill. We truly live up to the nickname “Mad City”.
Our Mad City t-shirt is available in various colors, and not just tees, either, but sweatshirts as well. We’re always printing new color combinations and styles. You can stop by our outlet store – 1111 Stewart Street right here in Madison – where we have a variety to choose from, ready to wear and rep that Mad City pride.
